Unisa Radio is a talk radio station, striving to be Unisa’s voice that will bridge the gap between Unisa and its communities.
Unisa Radio endeavours to become a dynamic and vibrant online streaming talk radio station in South Africa and on the continent.
The radio station also seeks to provide an opportunity for students to get practical exposure and training in broadcasting. Unisa Radio also wants to provide a channel for Unisa’s students, employees and management to articulate the vision of Unisa, to raise concerns and to seek resolutions for immediate problems.

•    To nurture and develop a sense of community amongst students and staff
•    To enhance students’ learning experience by using radio as a medium for stimulating academic debate
•    To establish a medium that ultimately has the potential to reach Unisa students worldwide
•    To be a training facility that provides students, interested in the field of broadcasting, the opportunity to develop and learn skills used in the media industry
