Your Academic Integrity Matters – get started today!

All newly registered Unisa students in undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications (NQF levels 5 to 8), and those who have not yet completed the course, are required to complete the compulsory Academic Integrity Course for the 2025 academic year.  

Why is it important?

The Academic Integrity course empowers you to embody honesty, respect, fairness, responsibility and accountability throughout your academic studies. These values help you to navigate your studies ethically and protect the credibility of your qualification. They also establish the foundation for your future professional success.

What will you learn? 

This course will give you the tools and skills to

• understand the meaning and importance of academic integrity.
• learn about different forms of academic misconduct such as plagiarism, collusion and contract cheating.
• use Artificial Intelligence tools ethically.
• learn how to engage with academic work ethically and responsibly.

How to access the course

1. Visit https://mooc.unisa.ac.za/ 
2. Login using your myLife account credentials
3. Click on "My Courses"
4. Complete all 6 study units
