Following discussions between university management and NEHAWU leadership, the parties have jointly formulated a maintenance plan outlining how the university will deal with the identified buildings and facilities to make them OHS compliant.
The NEHAWU leadership is currently consulting with the union’s members to seek buy-in into the plan.
Meanwhile, the situation remains the same at campuses across the country. The university has however impressed upon the striking workers to not block access to university premises or deny other staff members and stakeholders entry to the premises.
