On 6 March 2018, Unisa received a list from NSFAS of about 6000 students for which NSFAS had approved funding for the 2018 academic year.
Although semester 1 registrations for undergraduate students closed early in February, Unisa has decided to give these students the opportunity to proceed with their studies during semester 1, should they decide that they are prepared to complete their modules in the shortened timeframe. If not, these students will be given the opportunity to de-register for semester 1, free of charge.
Please note that the NSFAS funding is valid for the full academic year and all affected students will have the opportunity to register for the second semester of 2018.
