The University of Venda (UNIVEN), in partnership with the NRF, CHINAFRICA, SETEA, and SACTCC, is hosting the Seminar on the Governance of China & the 21st International Conference on the Science, Engineering & Technology and Management of Innovation (SETMI) on Friday 9 October 2026, at the NRF in Pretoria.
Theme: China's Practice & Africa-China Co-operations on the Science, Engineering & Technology and Education.
This landmark event builds on a decades-long history of Africa-China cooperation, FOCAC commitments, and Agenda 2063. It will bring together 150 high-level participants to explore strategic partnerships in AI, space technology, smart transport, and research capacity building.
