Changes to your modules sites on myUnisa
Due to the changes to the 2021 academic calendar, we'll be implementing some changes to your modules sites on myUnisa over the next few days. We thought we'd let you know what we've planned and what you can expect.
Semester 1 modules:
- There will be no changes to the semester 1 (1/2021) modules sites.
Semester 2 modules:
- Students registered for semester 2 (2/2021) modules will be migrated (moved) to the semester 1 (1/2021) modules sites on myUnisa from 11 to 25 March 2021. During this time, you will be able to view both the semester 1 and semester 2 sites on myUnisa.
- Once all the students have been migrated to the semester 1 sites, Unisa will close the tools on the semester 2 sites.
- Some lecturers have chosen to keep their semester 2 modules sites open. In these cases, you will continue as usual with your semester 2 site.
How will this affect you?
Modules registered for semester 1:
- There will be no changes to the semester 1 (1/2021) modules sites.
Modules registered for semester 2:
- The migration of myUnisa sites will not impact your registration in any way. You remain registered for semester 2/2021.
- If you registered for semester 2 modules, your assignment results for those modules will appear against the semester 2 assessment plan and you will be tutored as a semester 2 student.
- The only change is that you will share a module site with the semester 1 students.
- All your online activities will happen in the semester 1 site once the migration has been done.
- Any information you posted on the semester 2/2021 sites (eg discussion messages, online assessments) will remain on the semester 2/2021 sites. All your discussions, messages and online assessments will now be in the semester 1/2021 site.
