Additional measures at the Unisa Student Communication Service Centre to deal with high volumes

We are currently experiencing high volumes of calls and e-mails due to the opening of registrations. We will attend to your enquiry as quickly as we can. To mitigate the current high volumes, we have implemented the following with immediate effect:  

  • Extended our hours of operation:
    • Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 19:00
    • Saturday: 08:00 – 14:00 

  • We have the following options to streamline the calls. Please listen carefully to the options provided when calling the toll free number:
    • Option 1: Applications and registrations
    • Option 2: myLife and myUnisa
    • Option 3: Library
    • Option 4: Exams
    • Option 0: General enquiries

  • Our enquiry e-mail is also segmented according to the above options to streamline and prioritise registrations. Please ensure that your e-mails to the Call Centre have the following details:
    • All e-mails must be sent via your myLife e-mail address with the exception of new students
    • Subject: A short description of your challenge
    • Student number
    • Contact details
    • A screen grab of your error where necessary
