The School of Trans-Disciplinary Research and Graduate Studies (STRGS) falls under the College of Graduate Studies which is part of UNISA’s Research, Postgraduate Studies, Innovation and Commercialisation Portfolio. The school provides transdisciplinary research activities that support student success among masters and doctoral students, through capacity development of academic supervisors in the whole spectrum of supervision competencies needed to offer effective support to UNISA’s Masters and Doctoral students. The school formalises the primary aim of mandate of spearheading the agenda of transdisciplinary research and graduate studies across all of the university’s academic colleges. The refocussing was initiated to give recognition to the MIT focus of the College in providing research support for postgraduate studies.
