Prof Fisseha Itanna Danno (1955), is an Ethiopian with a BSc and MSc from Addis Ababa University and a PhD in Soil Sciences from the University of Hohenheim in Germany. He was a staff of AAU (1978 to 2013), the University of Namibia (2013 to 2019) and the National University of Lesotho (2020 to 2024), where he also served in different academic leadership positions. He obtained research grants from CIDA, SIDA SAREC, GIZ, the World Bank, focusing on agronomy, soil fertility, soil conservation, pollution and remediation. He published 61 articles, three books and 28 other publications and supervised many students.
