Dr Babak Safaei currently is working as an Associate Professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering at Eastern Mediterranean University. He received his PhD. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tsinghua University. Presently, he is the Director of Nanotechnology and Multifunctional Structures Research Center (NMSRC) at Eastern Mediterranean University. His research interests include computational mechanics, composite materials, advanced manufacturing process in materials and lightweight structures, energy harvesting, energy storage and lithium-ion battery, biomechanics, and atomic layer deposition.
