Dr Kehinde O. Omotoso is a Research Fellow at DSI/NRF SARChI Chair in Social Policy, College of Graduate Studies, University of South Africa, Pretoria. She lectures at Teesside University International Business School (TUIBS) England, United Kingdom. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Pretoria. Her research and policy experience span over a decade during which she has gained expertise in quantitative research techniques, economic development, policy impact assessments and a deep understanding of impact evaluation of policy interventions. She is a dynamic development economist with excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. She conducts innovative and evidence-based research that focuses on proffering solutions to global development policies and programme challenges in the areas of health, poverty, inequality, climate change and socio-economic dimensions of economic shocks. In various capacities, Kehinde has been a consultant to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Lancet-SIGHT (Swedish Institute for Global Health Transformation (SIGHT), The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (Kungl. Vetenskapsakademien), Sweden and has worked with seasoned economists and inter-disciplinary experts on several national and international projects funded by the World Bank, Partnership for Economic policy (PEP), International Development Research Centre (IDRC), African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) and other international donors’ projects on socio-economic impact evaluation and assessment of public policies relating to health and economic issues addressing relevant issues for long-term development. She has developed and mentored upcoming economists of different nationalities who have been trained on quantitative tools to undertake an impact evaluation of projects and interventions. She has presented several research papers at both national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops. Kehinde has refereed for academic journals such as the South African Journal of Economics, and the International Journal of Equity in Health, among others. She has several research articles published in reputable journals to her credit. Kehinde was awarded the Pareto Optimal Prize Doctoral Award in 2018. She has also served as a reviewer for a number of reputable journals.
