With a career spanning over 18 years, Morafe Tabane has acquired a range of requisite skills across different levels of communications and economics. In her early career, she spent most of her time at the JSE, tracking currencies and commodities markets and providing an analysis of the futures market.

She studied corporate governance at an MBL level as well as strategic management, strategic financial management, labour law, marketing management, project management and business leadership. She also has a diploma in Online Research and Publishing from Stockholm University in Sweden.

Tabane has also served as the SBL’s Community Engagement Manager. She co-authored a chapter in a book published by Routledge titled “Internationalising Communication Curriculum in an Age of Globalization”. She has also co-authored articles published in different journals. She has supervised 8 honours students to completion.
