Prof Goski Alabi is one of Africa’s leading Full Professor in total quality management, and a consultant in strategic leadership and corporate governance, with a focus on higher education leadership and governance. She is an academic, a consultant, author and an accomplished entrepreneur with more than 20 years of professional experience in academia, consultancy, regulation, advocacy and business. Prof. Mrs. Alabi serves on several public, corporate and international boards and committees. People have described her as the start-up queen and educational revolutionist.
She is currently President and Founder of Laweh University College, the first accredited open university in Ghana and second in West Africa. She is also President of the African Council for Distance Education (ACDE) April 2021, as well as Chair of the African Network for Internationalization of Education – ANIE (September 2016 to date). As a consultant She also consulted for the Ministry of Trade and Industry on the National Quality Awareness Project, strategic planning to the Bank of Ghana, the Public Services. Commission, the Architects Registration Council. of Ghana and the Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction and City Development (EiABC). She also offered several other consultancy services to the Association of African Universities, (AAU), the African Union Commission, as well as the European Union Commission among a few to mention. Prof. Goski has also led and participated in several Work Bank, DFID and EU Commission Projects successfully. She also audited several national and international public and private universities for the then National Accreditation Board and the African Union Commission’s Quality Rating Mechanism.
As An Academic, Prof, Goski is the Founding Dean of the school of Graduate Studies and Centre for International Education of the University of Professional Studies (2009-2016) and (2017-2018) respectively. As Dean of the Graduate school of the UPSA, Prof. Goski Alabi grew the school from zero to about 1000 students in six years and gain the acclaimed ACBSP accreditation of America, the first to receive the ACBSP accreditation in Africa, and earned the ACBSP Ambassador for Africa in 2016.
Prof Goski has received several awards. She was awarded Africa’s Most Respected CEO, Education Category in Dubia in July, 2021 by the Business Executive Magazine for Establishing and Managing Laweh Open University College, the first Accredited Open University in Ghana and second in West Africa.
