Clement Chipenda holds a BSc Honours in Sociology (University of Zimbabwe), MSc Development Studies (National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe) and PhD in Sociology (UNISA). His PhD thesis is titled -The transformative role of the fast-track land reform programme as a social policy instrument: A case study of Goromonzi District, Zimbabwe. His research interests are in social policy, agrarian political economy, land reform and rural development. He has published several book chapters and journal articles in the Canadian Journal of African Studies, Journal of Comparative Family Studies, Africa Review, African Identities and African Journal of Economic and Management Studies.
