UCL offers training workshops to the broader market

UNISA’s Centre for Lifelong Learning (UCL) offers training workshops as part of skills development and training to both the employer organisations and individual members of the public in general.

The workshops

Led by academics from the university community who are subject matter specialists in their respective areas of discipline, the workshops are rich in content and they are pitched at the right level taking the depth of content at optimum levels.

Duration

The duration of the workshops differs one from another. Some could take a few hours or half a day. Others are one day, two to 5 days.

Method of offering

The workshops can be conducted either face-to-face, online or in a blended manner using the two approaches depending on a number of factors.

Group workshops for organisations

In the case of requests by the organisational market for in-house workshops, those will be customized based on the needs of the client organisation requesting the training intervention. An optimal number of delegates per session should be no more than 25 people.

What entails the workshop

The delegates receive materials such as workbooks containing reading notes handed out at the start of the workshops as well as the presentation materials. At the end of the workshop the delegates will receive certificates of attendance or competence depending on the level of complexity of the particular workshop, the skills imparted as well as conducting assessments where applicable.
