Dr. Tafadzwa Luke Mupingashato is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Thabo Mbeki African School of Public and International Affairs, University of South Africa. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand, where his doctoral research examined the political economy of trade misinvoicing in Africa. His broader research interests encompass illicit financial flows, trade and industrial policy, financial inclusion, and macroeconomic governance.
Dr. Mupingashato has conducted extensive research across SADC, COMESA, and BRICS regions, and has worked with multiple stakeholders including government ministries, regional organizations, and international donors. His policy-relevant research integrates econometric modeling, qualitative methods, and institutional analysis to advance development outcomes.
