If you are an undergraduate student (including students registered for signature modules, fully online modules and modules with online assessments, short learning programmes BUT excluding all postgraduate students) scheduled to write examinations in the first two weeks of the examination period (from 2 to 12 May 2017), there are two options available:

The options detailed above are only valid for modules written during the first two weeks of the May / June 2017 examination period. Modules written from 15 May to 9 June 2017 are not affected by this change and will continue as originally scheduled.
We advise you to write your examinations as per the original timetable if at all possible. Examination venues for the new dates are not guaranteed and you may be required to write your papers in venues that are different to your selected venues.
Yes, in most cases you will be able to write at your original exam venue. The following exam venues will, however, not be available from 12 to 23 June 2017 and the new venues listed next to each original venue will be applicable to the second extended examination period:

You do not need to contact the university or complete any forms to write the second option. The university will ensure that there are sufficient papers available for each sitting.
The updated timetable is available on myUnisa or via the examination timetable tool. The new timetable will provide two dates: paper 1 on the timetable reflects the original examination date and paper 2 the extended examination date. You can approach your regional office for a printed copy with the Unisa logo on it.
