Fuel Cell Energy

Platform Leader:

Prof Touhami Mokrani

Fuel cells are alternative power sources that can meet global emission regulations and clean production. Fuel cells are known to produce electricity with zero or very little pollution and only produce water and heat as bio-products. A fuel cell is an electrochemical system that converts chemical energy to electrical energy. Fuel cell differs from a battery in that fuels are continuously supplied, and the products are continuously removed.

The sub-topics of the platform area are as follows:

    • Fuel Cell Device Design and Assembly
    • Fuel Cell Device System Integrations
    • Membrane electrode assembly development
