Student Colloquium

We are delighted to announce the 4th International Conference on Operations Management organised by the Department of Operations Management at the University of South Africa and the Department of Quality and Operations Management at the University of Johannesburg. The conference will take place in Gauteng, South Africa from 4 – 6 August 2025. 

Call for Student Colloquium submissions

We are thrilled to call for students to submit their study proposals to participate in an AOMC 2025 student colloquium. Proposals must align to conference themes in the field of operations management to be considered for presentation.

We would like to present the following opportunities and due dates to you:

  1. Submission of proposals by the 30 May 2025 to be peer reviewed by a panel of specialists within the defined period. These papers can be presented during the online colloquium session of the conference programme on the 01 August 2025 via MS Teams.
  2. The feedback received from an expert panel of reviewers can be used to improve their research proposals. This service is offered in addition to your supervisor’s feedback.
  3. The colloquium is free but attendance of the in-person conference will carry a cost of R4000.
  4. Own transport to the conference must be arranged.
  5. Students participating in the conference will have an opportunity to engage with scholars, researchers and educators in their specialised fields and to gain a better understanding and appreciation of the research processes.
