Asked how she feels about the award, Mbuli said “I am incredibly humbled to receive what is undoubtedly the highest accolade in the organisation. A huge thanks to the talented team I work with and the incredible support from colleagues that allows us to deliver great work, day in and day out. As a Unisa alumna, I am inspired to serve the people I work with and do my bit to define tomorrow.”

After graduating at Unisa, Mbuli has established herself as a seasoned communications professional. During her time at Unisa, she served on the Communications Student Association (COMSA) Executive Committee and published a few articles.

She has close to 15 years of experience in the marketing and communications sector and is passionate about creating content and communications that are engaging and impactful. In her current role as Executive Head of Group Internal Communications, she is responsible for leading the internal communications function for the Vodacom Group across its operating markets in Africa. She also manages the Vodacom Studio, which is a multimedia production and broadcasting facility.

The accolade awarded to Mbuli and her team is testament to the quality of work they produce at one of South Africa’s premier brands. It also illustrates that Unisa produces leaders who are ready to serve and define tomorrow.
