Dear Unisa students
Voting in the 2018 Unisa SRC Election closed at 17:00 on Friday 24 August 2018.
The IEC would like to express gratitude to all who participated. We have received an overwhelming response. We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude exclusively to the contesting structures for peacefully working with one another. We have learnt overtime that by nature SRC elections are sensitive and highly contested everywhere.
As we move to the last stage of the Election Project at Unisa (ie the inauguration of Regional SRCs and the National SRC), the IEC would like to appeal for continuous respect for the Electoral Code of Conduct, calm, cooperation and tolerance from everyone.
The IEC is committed to delivering credible, free and fair elections.
