Anatomy and Physiology (Animal Health I) - PAH131S

Diploma Year module NQF level: 5 Credits: 12
Module presented in English
Purpose: This module forms part of the National Diploma in Animal Health and in many ways forms the foundation of the qualification. The learners who complete this module will be able to understand the form, or morphology, and function of the different organ systems found in the animal body. In the Anatomy section, learners will separate the different parts of the animal body and study the form of each. In the Physiology aspect however, learners will the study the integrated functions of the body and all its parts (systems, organs, tissues, cells and cell components- how things work and what they do?), including biophysical and biochemical processes. Most of the knowledge gained will be applied to other modules in the Animal Health programme.
