The Unisa KwaZulu-Natal Region
cordially invites you to the 1st Annual African Languages and Indigenous Knowledge System (IKS) Seminar. Join us as we host world-renowned academics, experts, and speakers on African Languages and IKS issues. The seminar will also provide an opportunity for academic exchanges and scholarly interaction between speakers and participants.
The Guest Speaker is Prof Langa Khumalo: Director: South African Centre for Digital Language Resources (SADiLaR), North West University. Prof Khumalo, who is the former director of language planning and development at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, will be leading the centre – the first of its kind in Africa – to achieve the constitutional imperative to recognise all the South African languages as key resources in innovation and science.
