The future’s ☁ ☁ ☁ (and bright)

Unisa is among the first universities within its cohort of 26 public higher education institutions in South Africa to move its learning management system to the cloud - an impressive feat considering Unisa’s unique delivery model and large student body.

In 2018, the university began a digital transformation journey aimed at becoming fully digital and one of the leading open distance e-learning (ODeL) universities on the continent. Unisa is approaching the transformation in four phases, starting with improving operational efficiency and stability.
