Unisa’s Human Resources Committee of Council (HRCoC) met on 18 February 2019 for their annual planning workshop with the aim to discuss and commit to 2019 performance objectives.

HRCoC is a statutory committee appointed by Council and is responsible for all human resource capacity needs of the organisation.

The Chairperson of HRCoC, Nosisa Mokoka, wishes to express to all staff that with executive appointments concluded by Council in 2018, the university is poised to further consolidate its position as a leader in the provision of tertiary education for socio-economic transformation in society, and she thanked Council in this regard.

"We take the opportunity to also thank the Principal and Vice-Chancellor Prof Mandla Makhanya and his team for his exemplary committed leadership during that difficult period of less than optimal capacity," she added.

"The committee encourages all employees to ramp up their existing knowledge and skills to fulfil present and future organisational requirements for open distance learning. Let no one miss the abundant personal development opportunities available to all employees of the university," concluded Mokoka.
