The Unisa KwaZulu-Natal Region hosted the Marketing, Advancement & Communication in Education (MACE) regional networking and empowerment session on 24 May 2019 in Durban.
MACE fulfils a leadership role in the higher education, technical vocational education and training (TVET), and private education sectors in South Africa. This organisation adds value to practitioners in marketing, communication and advancement through higher quality development programmes, facilitating networking partnerships and transformation. It also promotes best practices among the professions at their member institutions.
Regional MACE members attended the workshop and had the opportunity to hear Daniel Munslow, the founder of MCC Consulting, share his expertise on how to show a return on investment for marketing and communication efforts in higher education. Marick Hornsveld, the MACE National Chairperson, explained to participants what requirements must be met for submission for the annual excellence awards. She shared some useful tips on how to submit a winning proposal. It was a very well attended and successful session with much engagement and networking taking place.
