Unisan to deliver keynote at Sasol tech education conference

Dr Patricia Gouws, senior lecturer in the School of Computing in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology and project leader of the Inspired Towards Science Engineering and Technology (I-SET) engaged scholarship project, has been invited as a keynote speaker at the Sasol 5th Annual Technical Teachers' Conference taking place on 23 and 24 June 2021.

The two-day conference is aimed at providing market intelligence on the future of technical skills and preparation of learners for opportunities in this arena. The virtual conference comprises of workshops and plenary presentations from leading local and international thinkers in 4IR and technical education, across various technologies including coding and robotics, programming, and connected mobility.

In a congratulatory message to Dr Gouws, Professor Bhekie Mamba, Executive Dean of CSET, said that she is a true ambassador for both the college and Unisa.
