Mokopane was a Consultant for Forensic Services at SNG Grant Thornton for three years before joining Unisa. His responsibilities included investigation, risk management and corporate governance on public and private sector. He joined Unisa as a Postgraduate Research Assistant and later on he was appointed as a permanent lecturer in the Department of Police Practice.
