Short Biography

Dr KA Mmolokoe is a serving as a senior lecture at the Department of Social Work, UNISA. He is involved in teaching and learning, research, community engagement and academic citizenship activities. He first served as a social worker at the Department of Social Development, Moses Kotane Service point in North-West province. Thereafter, he moved to Provincial Head Office of the Department of Social Development (North West) where he served as a Social Work Policy Developer in the programme: Services to persons with disabilities. He obtained both the undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications form North-West University. Dr Mmolokoe has research interest in gender-based violence as well as in child care and protection.   

Apart from serving as a social worker, Dr Mmolokoe served a five year term as NEHAWU branch secretary at Moses Kotane Service point. His political interests was motivated by the need to advocate for the rights of fellow employees, majority been the social service professionals.
