Raising funds for the development of education, student bursaries in particular, is the thread holding together the shaping of futures through the golf challenges Unisa has been hosting for the past five years. Unisa Gauteng held its sixth golf challenge on 11 October 2019 at the Serengeti Golf Course, Gauteng.
A total of 144 golfers from different business organisations gathered to network and to form productive partnerships through the challenge. These are organisations that seek to have a meaningful influence by enabling wider access to higher education.
The challenge culminated in a prize-giving ceremony where Ms Erin Naude, Deputy Director: Academic and Technology Support at the Gauteng Region said: “Unisa raises awareness of the student bursary funding plight through stakeholder engagements. This is also done by profiling the work of the University for public and private sectors, as well as civil society.”
