Performance appraisalThe new Unisa insists on measurable performance across the operations of the institution, including the performance of staff. A system of performance appraisal is expected to encourage both Council and Management to critically appraise their activities on a regular basis and by so doing enhance the effective corporate governance of the University. An integrated performance management system, which is directly linked to the institution’s strategic and operational objectives, has been developed. The system also provides for a performance-based incentive scheme.
