Call for volunteers: Student Health and Wellness Peer Educators 2018

Are you passionate about the wellbeing of fellow students? Do you have passion for working with students? Do you want to gain work experience while you study? Or do you simply want to volunteer on your journey as a Unisa student?

The Department of Student Affairs is inviting applications from students who would like to participate in the Student Health and Wellness Peer Education Programme for 2018. The activities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Training on peer education (certified)
  • Health and Wellness calendar days events
  • HIV / AIDS awareness
  • Promotion of a healthy lifestyle among students
  • Support Student Development with the implementation of programmes
  • Support groups

And lots more of fun and educational health and wellness awareness campaigns.

To apply, please e-mail your CV, proof of registration and a one-page motivation of how being a Student Health and Wellness Peer Educator will help you. Please indicate in which region you would like to volunteer. Send your applications to by no later than 31 October 2017. Volunteer opportunities are available at all Unisa regional centres and across all colleges. Please note: To participate you must be planning to be a student in 2018.

The selection process for shortlisting will be done centrally and the interviews for appointments in the regions
