  • M.A. (full-time), University of Port Elizabeth (NMMU, 1978) Field of study: Afrikaans Poetry. Title of thesis: Kleur in die Afrikaanse Poësie
  • D.Litt et Phil (Unisa, current) Provisional title of thesis: “Time erases whiteness altogether”? An exploration of Africanism and Whiteness in Afrikaans texts on Zimbabwe, Angola and the (Belgian) Congo”.
