The month of May marked a memorable achievement for the SBL as the first group of almost fifty MBL students from Ethiopia walked on stage to have their degrees conferred.
During March 2007, a delegation from the UNISA SBL visited Ethiopia in order to investigate the possibility of delivering the MBL in that country. The initiative was as a result of a direct request by the then Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Barney Pityana, after receiving information about interest in the business school by the Ethiopian Privatisation and Public Enterprise Supervising Agency.
In 2008, the first group of over one hundred MBL students registered for the programme.
The success of this offering has enabled us to continue positioning ourselves as the only relevant and capable business school that can deliver world-class leadership education in Africa.
