Admission requirements:A National Senior Certificate (Degree endorsement) with at least 50% in the language of teaching. A student who does not qualify in terms of the statutory or additional requirements, may follow Unisa's alternative pathways.
Rules:This degree comprises of the following structure. {1}. SCHOOL SUBJECTS (16 modules maximum on a 2-2-1 basis. 2 School subjects up to 2nd year level each and another on 1st year level. Students are advised to work out their school subject combinations in accordance with their proposed Senior Phase (SP) - and FET Subject didactic requirements. {2}. EDUCATIONAL THEMES (14 modules). {3}. PROFESSIONAL STUDIES (10 modules) Senior Phase (SP) - and FET Subject didactics must be chosen in accordance with the applicable School subject combinations. Registration for this program is only possible if the compulsory 10 weeks practical work can be done in South Africa. Students in SADC countries may do their practical in those countries. The practical work is devided in 2 blocks of 5 weeks each. A DSAR05 declaration form must be completed by all students prior to registering. NB: The learning area didactic Technology (LADTECX) is compulsory for students who did not include Mathematics or Natural Science (Chemistry/Physics) in their curriculum.
