A number of teams represent ISET at robotics competitions. World Robot Olympiad (WRO) brings together young people from all over the world to develop their creativity, design & problem solving skills through challenging & educational robot competitions and activities. Robotics is a wonderful platform for learning 21st century skills. Solving robotic challenges builds innovation, creativity and problem solving skills in learners, and because robotics crosses multiple curriculum subjects, learners can apply their knowledge in science, engineering, math, and computer programming. The most rewarding part of designing robots is that learners have fun, and work together as a team. All South African regional qualifiers will be participating in the WRO SA Nationals on Saturday 28 July 2012 (follow and add support to this exciting event on http://twitter.com/#%21/isetlego), at the Tshwane University of Technology Pretoria Campus from 9:00 until 15:00. The winning teams will be awarded National colours and will be representing South Africa at the International WRO to be held in Kuala Lumpur in November 2012.
