Unisa online - Unisa provides learning opportunities for all

“Unisa provides opportunity for all, whether young, woman or matured; Unisa is your home” said Dr Molapo Qhobela, Vice-Principal: Institutional Development during the graduation ceremony held in Nelspruit on 11 and 12 May 2012. More than 500 students including two doctoral candidates were awarded their degrees and diplomas.

In his congratulatory message, Dr Qhobela told the graduates to remember where they came from and to acknowledge the people who made sacrifices for them to succeed. He referred to graduates as special people who have received precious gifts that should not be used for themselves only but for friends, family, communities and the country at large.

Prof MW Lumadi advised the graduates: “We need to adopt the culture of critical thinking, innovation, creativity and originality. South Africa needs you to be critical in thoughts, original and formative, to create jobs for the citizens, continent and the world. Please go out there and share your knowledge, skills and correct attitude with fellow citizens, your qualification belongs to the people”.
