Unisa online - Unisa Library celebrates Wole Soyinka![]() The exhibition celebrates 25 years of Prof Wole Soyinka's work All members of staff and students are invited to an exhibition in the Unisa Library of the works of Nobel Prize Laureate (1986), Prof Wole Soyinka, a celebrated author, poet and playwright. The exhibition celebrates 25 years of Prof Soyinka’s work and highlights the significant contributions he has made globally. Natalia Molebatsi from the Unisa Library emphasised the importance of this exhibition in honour of Prof Soyinka. “The man has been writing since the early 60s. The Unisa Library is honoured to have an exhibition of this kind so that members of staff and students can interact with the works of this lion of Africa… I believe that literature opens the windows to the world. The most important aspect is that it stretches your imagination. Prof Soyinka is the greatest writer to come out of our time, not only in Africa, but his work is celebrated throughout the world,” added Molebatsi. The exhibition will run from 31 January to 10 February 2012. It is hosted in the foyer of the Unisa Library (Samuel Pauw building, Muckleneuk campus), which is open on weekdays from 08:00 to 20:00 and from 08:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays.
