Unisa online - Music tutor meeting at Unisa

Joseph Sithole from Hammanskraal gets advice from Ms Arisa Voges, Director: Music Directorate, regarding correct fingering on the clarinet
The Unisa Music Foundation recently organised a meeting for all tutors involved in the community music development programme in the Dr Miriam Makeba Concert Hall.

Over 50 music tutors are teaching 1 200 students in these projects in the Tshwane metropolitan area, from Ga-Rankuwa to Mamelodi, and from Atteridgeville to Soshanguve. Many of the students from these projects register for the Unisa written and practical music examinations, and generally achieve good results.

During this year’s meeting, the violin, cello, singing, piano and clarinet teachers were asked to give demonstration lessons.
