The Es’kia Mphahlele Registration Hallwas abuzz on Thursday last week as members of Executive and Extended Management, and other invited guests congregated to celebrate the opening of the new Unisa shop.
It was a fun-filled yet glamorous event, with staff eager to visit the shop and stock up on some Unisa-branded apparel. Ms Normah Zondo, from the KwaZulu-Natal office, was in fact the first customer to purchase an item from the shop.
The shop, which will cater primarily for students, will stock a variety of items, ranging from t-shirts, stationery items and other corporate gifts. The Alumni shop on the Muckleneuk campus will continue to function and will move to the New Entrance Building sometime later this year.
