North Eastern Regional Director wins award
Mrs DRM Bopape, Regional Director: North Eastern Region, received an award for her outstanding contribution to "the empowerment of people in the Limpopo Province".
The award was bestowed on her by the South African Council for Business Women at a function addressed by the president of the organisation, Ms Thelma Mathamelo, in Polokwane. The citation included the fact that Mrs Bopape had made an immense contribution to education in Limpopo.
The award is an honour for Mrs Bopape and for Unisa and the North Eastern Region.
Mrs Mary-Anne van Niekerk wins Employee of the Year: North Eastern region
The following day after the prestigious award to Mrs Bopape, Mrs Mary-Anne van Niekerk won the North Eastern Region's Employee of the Year award at the Region’s year-end function. She was selected by peers on the basis of criteria, such as professionalism, empathy, knowledge and helpfulness. Mary-Anne, who is the PA to the Regional Director, received a trophy, a certificate and a medal for her achievement.
Mary-Anne is known in the region for her willingness to assist colleagues and to always look for solutions in any situation.
The occasion was also used to present medals and certificates to winners of previous years whose names were also engraved on the new trophy. |
