John Roos represents Unisa in Tbilisi, Georgia
Mr John Roos, the Artistic Director of Unisa's International Music Competitions, was invited to join the jury of the recent Tbilisi International Piano Competition in Georgia. The First Lady of Georgia, Ms Sandra Roelofs, invited the jury to a reception in the presidential palace. Since, Ms Roelofs was born in Holland, Mr Roos was able exchange a few words with her in Afrikaans.
The selection process for the 5th Unisa International String Competition is now almost finalised. The jury responsible for the screening of applications was very impressed with the calibre of the violinists and cellists who want to compete.
