2009 International Career Guidance and Education Fair Recruitment drive in Mauritius
A four-member marketing team representing Corporate Communication and Marketing; the College of Science, Engineering and Technology; and the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences visited Mauritius in May this year as part of the international annual recruitment drive.
The aim of the visit was to inform prospective students about study opportunities and the Unisa registration process. The exhibition was open from 09:00 to 17:00 to give working people the opportunity to visit the fair. Learners and their parents were able to ask questions and explore the many options available to them.
The exhibition was extremely busy with up to 15 000 visitors visiting each day. The most popular programmes were Civil, Electrical and Chemical Engineering and Computer Science in the College of Science Engineering and Technology; this was followed by Biochemistry, Hospitality Management and Food Retail Management in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
