Unisa online - Unisa holds exams again in Zimbabwe

Unisa holds exams again in Zimbabwe

The University of South Africa has re-established two examination centres in Zimbabwe. The centres will be at the Exhibition Park, Samora Machel Avenue, Harare, and the Presbyterian Church, corner of Main and 5th Avenue, Bulawayo.

These two examination centres will be available for the mid-year examinations which will take place from 11 May to 10 June 2009.  Zimbabwean students will be allocated to one of these venues. Students have been informed by letter of the new arrangements and of the steps to follow in the event of them intending to change their examination venue from that identified at registration (when Unisa was not functioning in Zimbabwe) to one of the agreed upon Zimbabwe venues. Students living in Zimbabwe who registered with Unisa in 2009 and who elected to write their examinations at a centre in South Africa or elsewhere have, however, also been advised that they may retain these chosen venues.

Students may change their examination centre on the Unisa website, myUnisa, and this is the preferred option.  Alternatively, students may forward their requests via fax to +27 (0)12 429 4150 (For attention: Examinations) or via e-mail to exams@unisa.ac.za (student number must appear in the subject line).

Students who are registered for examinations in May/June 2009 and who are still registered for one of the former Zimbabwe examination centres which have since been closed will be transferred to the closest of the Harare or Bulawayo examination centres.

Student enquiries can also be directed to the Unisa Call Centre: +27 (0)11 670 9000.
