 Prof Jimmy Hendrick appointed World Commissioner of Ifpra |
Prof Jimmy Hendrick, Director of the School of Environmental Sciences, was recently appointed as the World Commissioner, representing South Africa, of the International Federation of Park and Recreation Administration (Ifpra).
The responsibility of the World Commissioner for South Africa has two distinct parts. There is a general responsibility to raise international awareness of the Federation and to contribute to the management and development of the Federation through the activities and decisions of the World Commission. There is also an immediate responsibility to raise awareness of Ifpra within South Africa and to generate new members. |
