Unisa online - Unisa has a new registration process for 2009Unisa has good news for all its current and prospective students. Our new registration process will eliminate the long queues, the hassle and the need for students to come to campus to register. Wherever possible, returning students should register online or at a self-help station at a Unisa registration site. They may, however, also submit registration forms by post or fax. Students will be able to register from 8 December 2008 to 22 January 2009. The new process includes the following: Register online: Students will be encouraged to register online or at self-help stations at Unisa registration sites. There will be additional registration sites with computers for online registrations with student advisors present to offer curriculum advice and technical assistance. Registration by fax or post is also an option. To register online, visit http://registration.unisa.ac.za. Study material: There will be no on-campus distribution of study material, so students will not be able to collect their study material when they register. The new agreement with the South African Post Office (SAPO) will ensure that study material will reach students on time. Students may, however, get a CD with their study material from one of our new Freedom Toaster machines when they register at one of our registration centres. Cashless registration: No cash or cheques will be accepted at any of the registration sites. The only form of payment which will be accepted at any of the Unisa offices will be payment by means of credit cards, debit cards and bank cash cards. Study fees can also be paid in person at SAPO and ABSA banks, or by electronic transfer to ABSA bank or by credit card on the Unisa website. Semester system: Unisa is introducing a tuition delivery system where all modules will eventually be offered in semester format. In 2009, all modules on NQF level 5 (first year) will be offered using the semester system. For more information, click here. Other Unisa online News | Latest | Archive |
