Unisa to receive a book donation of R5,3 million
The University of South Africa will receive a donation of 14 200 new books valued at R5,3 million from Van Schaik’s bookstore. The donation is in celebration of International Literacy Day.
The donation will be made at 14:00 on 8 September 2008 in the Van Schaik Room, Unisa Library, Samuel Pauw building, main campus.
The University of South Africa is one of eight tertiary institutions in South Africa and Namibia that will receive this generous donation. Creating wealth through knowledge and education is one of the key objectives of this annual donation.
Unisa is the largest research library in South Africa and serves the needs of about a quarter of a million students annually.
