At the Garden World and First National Bank Spring Festival with the theme “In Tune with Nature”, the UNISA exhibition garden achieved a gold medal. The creation of the exhibition garden was lead by UNISA lecturer Ms Henrietta Samuels, designed by ornamental horticulture student Jenny Badenhorst and constructed by fellow students.
The inspiration for the garden was taken from a grassland landscape, creating a quiet sanctuary that recreates a bushveld scene. The browns, yellows, ochre, oranges and reds of this sunburnt savannah highlight the beauty of the natural bush. |
