Unisa online - UNISA lecturer receives merit award


Christiaan Hattingh awarded with merit prize at the Annual ABSA l'Atelier Awards

Christiaan Hattingh, a multimedia lecturer in the Department of Art History, Visual Arts and Musicology, has been awarded with a merit prize (top 5) at the 23rd Annual ABSA l'Atelier Awards on Monday 21 July 2008 in Johannesburg.

The prize was awarded for an interactive digital projection entitled generate-mutate-translate, a work concerned with the codification of form as information and the implication of information manipulation and exchange on the form it represents. The ABSA l'Atelier art competition is South Africa's most prestigious and longest running art award.
