Christiaan Hattingh awarded with merit prize at the Annual ABSA l'Atelier Awards |
Christiaan Hattingh, a multimedia lecturer in the Department of Art History, Visual Arts and Musicology, has been awarded with a merit prize (top 5) at the 23rd Annual ABSA l'Atelier Awards on Monday 21 July 2008 in Johannesburg.
The prize was awarded for an interactive digital projection entitled generate-mutate-translate, a work concerned with the codification of form as information and the implication of information manipulation and exchange on the form it represents.
