Courses
The College of Human Sciences is proud to offer a cutting-edge interdisciplinary Honours degree in Gender Studies. The Honours degree in Gender Studies consists of five compulsory year courses, namely:

We strongly advise students to plan their degree over a minimum of two years. Your first year should focus on GENMETU and any other two courses. GENARTJ should be attempted once you have completed GENMETU together with your remaining course.
A gender-related topic for GENARTJ can be chosen from a list of topics that will be supervised by a dedicated lecturer. The supervisors are from the above departments, namely English Studies, Development Studies, Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology, and Communication Science, as well as History and Sociology.
